Charlottetown is on the south coast between Black Tickle and Port Hope Simpson. It is a relatively new community, resulting from the consolidation of various smaller communities around St. Michael's Bay in the early 1950s under the leadership of one of it's older and most respected citizens, and author, Benjamin Powell, Sr. |
