In re     THOMAS WEST      deceased.

    Last will and testament of Thomas West Sr     By the Grace of God Amen
Be it known that I Thomas West Sr of Bay L’Argent, in the District of Fortune Bay and in the Island of Newfoundland do declare this to be my last will and testament
    1st I give and bequeath to my grandson Joseph Grandy my house and land surrounding said house, to have and to hold said House & land aforesaid his heirs and successors forever.
    2nd All the land that I am possessed of and granted to me of which Grant is in my possession with everything thereon I give and bequeath to my grandson Clifford Thomas West, together with my bedstead bed & bedding, also the Fish Flake situated in front of Public Road & Joseph Grandy’s house
read and fully understood by the testator, and in his presence and in the presence of each other, this second day of July one thousand nine hundred and fifteen     Thomas his X mark West.     J.H.
