Will of Patrick Burke

Last Will and Testament of
Patrick Burke of St. Jacques
Fortune Bay Planter deceased.

St. Jacques February 8 th, 1884 I, Patrick Burke, of St. Jacques, Fortune Bay, being at this time in sound mind, will and bequeat to my wife Julia Burke the sum of money I have lying in the savings Bank $2925.44, twenty nine hundred and twenty five dollars, 44/100 in 1881 with interest of said sum yearly as long as it will remain in the said Bank. I will and bequeath also to my sons Patrick William, John and Ambrose and to my daughter Susanna the sum of two hundred pounds each. I have also one hundred and twenty pounds cy. in Steam Boat Shares which I will and bequeath to my four sons viz Patrick, William, John and Ambrose. I will and bequeath also to my sons, Patrick, William, John and Ambrose my share of the business, property and money of the firm of Burke Brothers. I will my house and furniture to my wife, Julia Burke, to do with as she pleases. To this I sign my hand this the 8th day of February, 1884, Patrick his x mark Burke - Witnesses - J. Whelan John J.
