Will of James Bond

IN RE:   JAMES BOND.    DECEASED

This is the last Will and testament of me, James Bond, of Grand Falls, Machinist, I hereby revoke all other Wills.

    1. I hereby appoint The Rev. William G. Morrison, Presbyterian Minister of Grand falls, and Andrew G. King, of St. John's Solicitor, to be the Executors of this my last Will.

    2. I hereby devise and bequeath unto my wife, Elisa Bond all and sundry of my Estate, Property and Effects which I now possess or shall hereafter acquire or which shall come into my possession.

    3. I hereby specifically devise and bequeath unto my wife, the said Eliza Bond the following specific property:- (a) All the furniture and household effects contained in the house which I now occupy and situate at 15, Riverview, Grand Falls, to be used, disposed of or otherwise dealt with according to her wish or direction.

    (b) All my interest in that leasehold Land and Dwelling House No. 5 Gilbert Street, St. John's; which said Leasehold Land and Dwelling House were purchased by me from William H. Taylor, George Taylor and Jacob Taylor, on November 19th, 1901. The said Leasehold Land and Dwelling House to be sold, assigned, leased or otherwise dealt with or disposed of according to the wishes or dictates of my wife the said Eliza Bond.

    4. If, on the death of my wife the said Eliza Bond any or all of the property comprising my said Estate remains undisposed of, I hereby direct that the said property or portion thereof be divided equally between my four children, viz., John Chesley, Clifford James, Cecil Henry and Jean, or equally between such of them as shall be living on the death of my wife the said Eliza Bond.

    Signed by the Testator in the presence of us, who, both being present at the same time did sign as witnesses in the presence of each other. Dated at Grand falls this 24th, day of April, A.D. Nineteen Hundred and Twenty Four.
