Will of George Robert Haggett

IN RE:   GEORGE ROBERT HAGGETT.    DECEASED

This is the last Will and Testament of me George Robert Haggett of Grand Falls in the Colony of Newfoundland, Carpenter, made this twenty third day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand nine hundred and twenty five.

I hereby revoke all Wills made by me at any time heretofore. I appoint Henry F. Fitzgerald, of Grand Falls, aforesaid, Magistrate, to be my Executor, and direct that all my Debts and Funeral Expenses shall be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.

I give and bequeath unto My Grandson, Gordon Haggett, the sum of One Hundred Dollars, to be held in trust in Savings Bank for him until he attains the age of twenty one years, and in the event of his death before attainment of the said age, the money so deposited, shall become the property (Subject to the age condition above written) of my next Oldest Grandchild of either Emma or Edward Haggett.

I give and bequeath unto my daughter Emma Haggett the Gold Watch and Chain and Ring formerly possessed by her late mother; the Piano, now in my possession; one half the total amount of money, inclusive of the proceeds of Life Insurance, possessed by me at the time of my death and, in the event of her death. Should she marry and have issue, the said money, or any amount remaining thereof, shall become the property, in equal proportions, of all her children; Twenty acres of land, situate North of the Newfoundland Government Railway Track and East of the Railway Station at, Grand Falls, said land being held under Government Grant by her late mother, Selina Haggett; and one half the household furniture and effects possessed by me at the time of my death.

I give and bequeath unto my son, Edward Percy Haggett, the family Bible and family Portrait; twenty acres of land, situate North of the Nfld Government Railway Track and East of the Railway of the Railway Station at Grand Falls, said land being held under Government Grant by me; one half the total amount of money, inclusive of the proceeds of Life Insurance, possessed by me at the time of my death, and in the event of the death of the said Edward Percy Haggett, the said money, or any amount remaining thereof, shall become the property, in equal proportions of all his children; and one half of the household furniture and effects possessed by me at the time of my death.
