MOSQUITO - A fishing settlement on the North side of Conception Bay, between Harbor Grace and Carbonear, district of Carbonear. The village lies at the foot of a very pretty valley with woods and meadow land interspersed on its sides. Farming is engaged in to a considerable extent. Distant from Harbor Grace 1½ mile. Mail tri-weekly. Population 348.
