Anyone who has research interests in
Brigus, Conception Bay, should certainly read the book "Brigus Past Glory,
Present Splendour" by John Northway Leamon. It is filled with the history
of many of the early families and events of the town’s past. On a personal
note, I am very thankful to Mr. Leamon for writing this book, as it was
instrumental in solving the mystery of my maternal family (Critch) roots. What follows are a few excerpts from his book in which Leamon refers to some older headstones located within the community.
