TRANSCRIBER'S NOTES :
William Steel Warren was born about 1812 and may be a son of John and Mary Warren who have ties to Old Perlican. He first married Ann Ryan in Trinity in January 1839. Unfortunately she died in December of the same year. He then married Margaret Piercie in Trinity in 1841. They had son James born about 1842, William Samuel born June 1844, Charles Steele born July 1846 and it would appear that both Margaret and son Robert died in May 1850. His wife Mary mentioned in the will is perhaps a third wife. At this time in 2005 we do not know. William Steel died in Harbour Grace June 3, 1876.

The son William Samuel Warren was my great grandfather. He married Mary Jane Peddle/Piddle from Mosquito (Bristol’s Hope). Their daughter Gertrude married my grandfather Ron Martin, the son of Frederick Martin and his second wife and second cousin Elizabeth Martin.
