To all to whom these presents shall come I William Dunn of the South Side of Riverhead, Harbor Grace Newfoundland Being of sound disposing mind memory and recollection do publish and declare this to be my last will and testament.

1. I hereby revoke all former wills heretofore made by me.

2. I confirm a deed of trust made by me on the 12th day of March anno domini eighteen hundred and ninety two in as far as it relates to my wife Eleanor Dunn

3. I will devise and bequeath to my wife Eleanor Dunn the land on the south side Main Road south side Harbor Grace now occupied by me with all the erections thereon farming implements horse carriages carts sleighs etc. for and during the term of her natural life and immediately after her death to my sons James Dunn and Thomas Dunn James Dunn to have the Eastern half and Thomas Dunn the Western half of said land and premises. The farming implements horse carriages carts sleighs &c &c to be the joint property of my sons James & Thomas Dunn.

I will devise and bequeath to my sons John Dunn James Dunn & Thomas Dunn subject to the conditions hereinafter made my land wharf and store situate on the north side of Main Road South side Harbor Grace to be held by them as tenants in common the said wharf store and property to be kept in repair by my said sons and should either of them neglect to bear his proportion of repairs for two years he or they shall have no further claim on the property

5. I will devise and bequeath to my sons John Dunn James Dunn and Thomas Dunn all the back land John Dunn to have the Eastern Half James Dunn and Thomas Dunn to have the western half.

6. I will devise and bequeath to my sons James Dunn and Thomas Dunn the schooner “St. Clair” with all her materials share and share alike.

7. I will devise and bequeath to my sons James Dunn and Thomas Dunn my fishing rooms boats and all fishing gear and other property at Macovick Island and Strawberry Harbour Labrador none of the said property to be sold except to a member of the family.

8. I will devise and bequeath to my wife Eleanor Dunn during her natural life the money on interest in the Harbor Grace Branch Savings Bank and Bank of Nova Scotia none of the said money or interest to be withdrawn unless really necessary for her personal wants and with the consent of my executor save and except the amount of legacies hereinafter named.

9. I will devise and bequeath to my sons John Dunn James Dunn and Thomas Dunn and my daughters Margaret Glavine, Bridget Yetman and Catherine Cody, after the death of my said wife Eleanor Dunn all the monies deposited in the Harbor Grace Branch Savings Bank and Bank of Nova Scotia to be equally divided between my above named sons and daughters.

10. I will devise and bequeath to my son Thomas Dunn the sum of four hundred and one dollars deposited in my name in the Harbor Grace Branch Savings Bank.

11. I will devise and bequeath to the Right Rev. Ronald MacDonald Bishop of Harbor Grace or his successor one hundred dollars for the erection of a suitable fence, gates, &c. on the Roman Catholic Church ground Riverhead Harbor Grace.

12. I will devise and bequeath to the Rev. John Colbert of Conche twenty dollars for masses for the repose of my soul.

13. And further it is my last will wish and desire that all my children be obedient, kind and respectful to their mother and that they all live quietly and agreeably and that none of the property herein bequeathed be sold except to a member of the family and that my sons have the care of my daughter Bridget Yetman’s children.

14. I hereby nominate and appoint Roderick D. MacRae of Harbor Grace merchant to be sole executor of this my last will and testament.
