I, William Doody of Carbonear, in the Island of Newfoundland, being of sound mind and memory, do, this Second day of January in the year One thousand Nine Hundred and Eleven, make and publish this my last Will and Testament in the manner and form following, that is to say: I leave and bequeath unto my wife, and my four sons, William, and Matthew, and John and David my House and lands situate in Carbonear aforesaid to be owned by them conjointly. I leave and bequeath unto my wife, and my sons aforesaid, conjointly, my interest in the Doody Brothers Fishing Room and Fishing Properties on the Coast of Labrador. I leave and bequeath unto my daughters, Mary and Annie the use of my House in Carbonear as a home for them. And I hereby appoint Patrick Joy of Carbonear sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
