This will is also recorded, with the addition of comments in the margin, in volume 8 page 95 probate year 1906. In re Duff Thomas deceased see p. 95 I Thomas Duff of Holyrood Conception Bay Been of sound mind and memory. Do make my last will and Testament this 6 day of September the year of our Lord 1903 First I give and bequeath to my wife Ellen my Dwelling house and all it contains one cow two sheep my horse charrage all cars and farming utensils my said wife is to divide all the above mention to my sons as she may think proper. The cabbage garden and my out houses is to be wife's also she is divide them as mention before. Second. My land being on both side of the road leading to indian pond the land inside is bond by Pete Duff land on the N. and by Ed Duff's land on the S. outside by Pat Duff on both sides allso pice land lying inside of my Brother Patt's fence containing about one acre one eight (1/8) of it tilled My land being by the road leading to Main line of road covering about five acres and bound by Arthur Duggan on the South also a small garden at the angle of road next Patt Duff's land also piece of land about sixty feet more or less by railway track bound by Patt Duff on the South and by Sea Shore on the North, and Pat Duff on the East. All these lands is to be divided between my three sons if they return home and remain but if not come or remaining it is only for him or them that will come and remain. Third I will and bequeath to my daughter Ellen one sheep, this year or next or when she may demand it. My nephew Arthur Duggan is the have my lanch untill my son or sons come to use it.
