IN RE: THOMAS BURKE. DECEASED
I Thomas Burke of the River Head of Harbor Grace in the Island of Newfoundland being of sound disposing mind and memory but of a feeble state of health and considering the uncertainty of life do make publish and declare this to be my last will and Testament as follows:-
First I direct that my Funeral and Testamentary expenses be paid
Second I give devise and bequeath unto my niece Bridget Callahan the sum of Two hundred dollars at present deposited in the Bank of Nova Scotia
Third I give devise and bequeath unto Mollie Callahan the sum of one hundred dollars also deposited in Bank of Nova Scotia.
Fourth. To my nephew Patrick Burke I give devise and bequeath my land cleared and uncleared lying and being on the south side also my Bed and Bedding and one hundred dollars at present deposited in the Bank of Nova Scotia
Fifth To my nephew John Burke I give devise and bequeath one hundred dollars at present Deposited in the Bank of Nova Scotia.
Sixth I give devise and bequeath unto my niece Mary Hunt one hundred dollars at present deposited in the Bank of Nova Scotia
Seventh To my niece Fanny Sparrow I give devise and bequeath one hundred dollars Deposited also in Bank of Nova Scotia
Eight. To my niece Mary Howlett I give devise and bequeath one hundred dollars deposited in the Bank of Nova Scotia
And last I hereby constitute and appoint William J. Guilfoyle Teacher to be executor of this my last will and Testament revoking and annulling all former wills by me made and ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and Testament - Thomas his x mark Burke (L.S.) - Signed, declared and published by the above named Thomas Burke as and for his last will and Testament in presence of us who at his request have signed as witnesses to the same this fourteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twelve (1912 A.D.)
