In re  Susannah Collins deceased


I Susannah Collins being of sound mind and memory, to make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other former wills by me at anytime made I direct that all my just debts including funeral expenses be paid by my executor. [1] I bequeath all my wearing apparel to Emma L. Drew of Cupids N.f.l.d. and also twenty dollars in cash. 2. I bequeath to Matilda Strickland of North Sydney Cape Breton all that she has in her possession belonging to me: and also twenty dollars in cash to be used for the upkeep of my husband's grave at the cemetery at North Sydney, Cape Breton. 3. To the Methodist church at North Sydney Cape Breton, I bequeath the sum two hundred dollars. [4.] To my niece Lillian Sainthill of North Sydney Cape Breton I bequeath the sum of five dollars. To Elinor Forsey my niece of Grand bank Nfld I bequeath the sum of five dollars. 6. To my niece Gladys Rideout of British Columbia I bequeath the sum of ten dollars. 7. To my sister Emma Rideout of British Columbia I bequeath the sum of twenty dollars [9] To my sister Nellie Scott of Fogo N.f.l.d. I bequeath the sum of twenty dollars.[10]To my niece Mildred Scott of Fogo N.f.l.d. and Christie Ellsworth of Rose Blanche N.f.l.d. I bequeath ten dollars I hereby appoint my brother Caleb Tibbs of St. John's executor of this my Will. Any balance remaining of my estate is to be used by my executor as he thinks proper. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 8th day of November 1917 Susannah Collins [LS] Signed by the Testatrix Susannah Collins as and for her last will Testament in the presence of us, who at her request, in her presence, and in the presence of each other have submitted our names as attesting witnesses, after changing the twenty dollars bequest in item 6 to ten dollars unshared A.
