Will of Sarah Stentaford

IN RE:   SARAH STENTAFORD.    DECEASED

I Sarah Stentaford of Brigus Conception Bay Newfoundland, widow do make and ordain this to be my last will and Testament viz

First. I give and bequeath to my son Samuel Seymour Stentaford my Dwelling House and Premises now occupied by me (including garden and land surrounding) for my sons sole use and benefit which he may rent or sell at any future time should he feel disposed to do so.

Second I give and bequeath to my son Samuel Seymour Stentaford all my house hold furniture and effects including Silverware China and Crockreyware except such articles as may be hereinafter mentioned. It is my wish that he give to each of my grandchildren the articles of furniture or other effects which my son will find mentioned in a sealed letter after my decease; and should my son Samuel Seymour Stentaford not require some of the articles of furniture or other things for his own use or that of his family he may sell them at any time

Third. - I give to my son Samuel Seymour Stentaford the amounts on deposit in the Bank of Montreal and in the Newfoundland Savings Bank from which sums it is my wish that he erect a monument in the cemetery here in memory of his late grandparents Charles and Sarah Cousins.

Third. I give to my daughter in law Martha Aseneth Stentaford the set of white and Gold China.

Fourth. I give to my grandson William Thomas Stentaford the set of Purple and Gold China

Fifth. I give to my grandson George Leonard Stentaford the two oil Paintings of Uncle John and Uncle Charles.

Sixth. - I give to Lucinda Wilcox (wife of Samuel Wilcox Jr.) The Black Birch work Table

Seventh - I hereby nominate and appoint my son Samuel Seymour Stentaford sole executor of my last will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal at Brigus C.B. Nfld. this sixteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand nine Hundred and Three Sarah Stentaford (LS) Signed sealed published and declared by the said testatrix Sarah Stentaford as and for her last will and Testament in the presence of us who here subscribe our names as witnesses thereto in the presence of the said Testatrix John James Smith Jabez P Thompson
