In re: SAMUEL LEAR DECEASED.

In the name of God Amen I Samuel Lear formerly of Hibbs Hole Port de Grave but now living at Middle Bight, South Shore, Conception Bay in the Island of Newfoundland, Fisherman and Farmer, being very sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament.

First, I give and bequeath to my two sons George Henry and Joseph that piece or parcel of land situate in Middle Bight and bounded as follows, North by rail track, South by my own land, East by John Kennedy's land and West by Samuel & Jacob Taylor's land To be equally divided between them-

Second, I give and bequeath to my two sons George Henry and Joseph that piece of land called the "horse yard" to be equally divided between them and bounded as follows, North by my own land, South by my own land, East by Moses Kennedy's land and West by Samuel Taylor's land-

Third, I give and bequeath to my son Joseph my dwelling house- my stable and cellar, I Give and bequeath to my two sons George Henry and Joseph to be used by each other until each one has a stable and cellar of his own. And the two brothers must help each other to build another stable and cellar when so required- All the above mentioned buildings are situated in the said "horse yard"-

Fourth, I give and bequeath to my son Joseph that piece or parcel of land that is bounded on the North by the "horse yard" and dwelling house, South by John Kennedy's land, East by John Kennedy's land and West by Henry Taylor's land-

Fifth, I give and bequeath to my son George Henry that piece or parcel of land that is bounded on the North by John Kennedy's land, south by John Kennedy's land, East by Fagan's road and West by Samuel Taylor's land.

Sixth I give and bequeath to my two sons George Henry and Joseph that piece or parcel of land situate and being in Fox Trap, South of the Main road, to be equally divided between the two brothers. The said piece of land containing about nine acres more or less and bounded as follows North by Joseph Fagan's Road, south by Thomas Picco's land, East by Jennings road and West by John Hain's land-

Seventh I give and bequeath to my daughter Rachel the feather bed and bedding she is now using. The trunk that is in my bedroom and two rings one gold and the other silver also the spinning wheel

Eighth, I give and bequeath to my two sons George Henry and Joseph my horse, boxcart, dray, tackling, wheelbarrow plough and cat-a-ma-ran to be used by both until worn out, I give to my son George Henry my gun. I give to my son Joseph one graplin and the clock- The clock is to remain in the house as long as the house stands- I appoint Mr. Francis F. Furneaux School Teacher at Middle Bight sole executor of this my last will and testament. And I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other former testaments, wills bequests and executors by me in anywise before named, willed and bequeathed, ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament
