Sarah Dawe deceased In the name of God Amen:- I Sarah Dawe Spinster of Ship Cove, Port-de-Grave, Nfld, being of sound mind and memory do make and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner following: that is to say, I order that all my just and legal debts and funeral expenses etc. be paid in full and after payment thereof I give and bequeath all my money that I may have in Savings Bank or elsewhere to my nephew Jabez Dawe for and in consideration of his kindness to me and giving me my support in the last few years. I give my bed and Bible and bedding to Elsie Dawe daughter of Jabez Dawe, I give my furs and shawl to Mary E. Dawe wife of Walter Dawe. I give my hymn book and Bible to Fanny Butler wife of Leo Butler and all other things I possess in the room I occupy that is my clothes etc. I leave to Jabez and his wife to do as they wish with it. I hereby appoint Jabez Dawe as sole executor of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I Sarah Dawe hereby revoke all former wills by me made and declare this to be my last will and testament and also hereby affix my signature or mark this twenty-fourth day of December one thousand nine hundred and seventeen. -Sarah her X mark Dawe. Signed sealed and declared by the testatrix Sarah Dawe as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us who in her presence and in the presence of each other and at her request have subscribed our names as witnesses this twenty-fourth day of December one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.
