IN RE: RICHARD MARK SHEAN. DECEASED First. My will is that all my just debts, funeral expenses, and the cost of a very humble and modest headstone erected to me in my family plot in the Brigus Cemetery with the inscription "May the Lord have mercy of Father Shean, Amen." shall, by my Executors hereinafter named, be paid out of my estate, as soon after my demise as shall be found convenient by them. Secondly. I leave ten ($10.00) dollars to each and every priest and Bishop of the Roman Catholic Church in the Island of Newfoundland, for ten low masses to be said by each for the repose of my soul, as soon as possible after my death. Thirdly. I give, devise and bequeath my Three Nova Scotia Tramways and Power 7% Bonds Nos 1080, 1081 and 1082 of $1000.00 each and my two Avon River 6 ½% Bonds Nos A106 and A108 of $1000.00 each, the interest only of which to be used for a daily low mass forever for the souls of the suffering souls in purgatory and the principal to be reinvested by my Executors to the best advantage for the same purpose for all time. Fourthly. I give, devise and bequeath my two Canadian Paper Boaard 7% Bonds No 220 of $1000.00 and No 346 of $500.00 the interest only to be distributed yearly by the priest of Coachmans Cove, to the poor of Coachmans Cove, Fleur de Lys, Brent's Cove and La Scie as follows: $40.00 to Coachmans Cove; $30.00 to Fleur de Lys; $20.00 to Brents Cove and $15.00 to La Scie and the principal to be reinvested by my Executors for the same purpose for all time. Fifthly. I leave and bequeath ($600.00) to the Church of Coachmans Cove; ($400.00) four hundred dollars to the Church of Fleur de Lys; ($200.00) two hundred dollars to the Church of Brents Cove and one hundred dollars to the Church of La Scie. Sixthly. I leave and bequeath three thousand dollars towards a Burse to be established by His Lordship, the Bishop of Harbor Grace, in some Ecclesiastical Seminary, for the use of some student for the priesthood from the Diocese of Harbor Grace N.F.L.D. Seventhly. I give and bequeath two hundred dollars to the Orphans of Belvedere; two hundred dollars to the orphans of Mount Cashel; and one hundred dollars to each and every other Convent in the Country asking the good nuns to pray for the repose of my soul. Eighthly. I leave two hundred dollars to the Episcopal Corporation of Harbor Grace in payment of the balance of my passage money from France to Newfoundland. 1880; two hundred dollars to the Catholic Clergy Fund; two hundred dollars to the Church of Harbor Main; two hundred dollars to the Church of Avondale; three hundred dollars to my old and faithful servant, Kate Hawco; one hundred dollars to Alice Strapp and the bed and bedding in her room at the palace of Harbor Main; one hundred dollars to James P. Lawson and the rest and residue of my estate, if any, to my nephew, Revd John S. Kavanagh; and I do hereby nominate and appoint The Eastern Trust Co., to be the Executors of this my last Will and Testament.
