Will of Philip Goosney

In re: PHILIP GOOSNEY. DECEASED

I Philip Goosney of Country Road Bay Roberts, in the District of Harbour Grace, and Island of Newfoundland, fisherman, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. As to my worldly estate, I devise, bequeath and dispose thereof in the manner following, to wit:-

My will is that all my money which I may have after my death shall be used for the benefit of St. John the Evangelist Church on Coley’s Point; to be disposed of as my executors hereinafter named shall deem best for the benefit of said Church Building, and lastly I do nominate and appoint my Grand nephew James Norman and Joseph Dawe, to be the Executors of this my last will and an testament In witness whereof I the said Philip Goosney have to this my last will and testament consisting of two sheets of paper subscribed my name and affixed my seal this thirteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and five Philip his x mark Goosney. Signed, sealed published, and declared by the said Philip Goosney as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence, and in the presence of each other, have subscribed our names as witness thereunto witnesses Joseph Dawe James Norman
