In re: MOSES PARSONS. DECEASED.

This is the last Will and Testament of Moses Parsons, I being of sound mind and of full understanding of what I am about to do: bequeath to my wife Jane E. Parsons the land and house where I live with all its contents, for her use as long as she shall live, and after her death this land and house shall revert to my Grandson Moses Parsons of Mark, or if he die young to his brother George.

To my wife all moneys in my name at the Bank of Nova Scotia or elsewhere for her use in a careful manner, and the remainder, if any, after her decease to be divided equally among my three daughters.

To my wife all my fishing gear, of every kind, traps, ropes, boats, anchors etc. for her benefit to be sold if necessary for her support, and the remainder after her decease to my grandson Moses Parsons as aforesaid.

If my wife shall marry at any time the estate shall immediately be distributed as provided for in case of her death.

The Organ is to be delivered to my daughter Edith immediately after the publication of this Will at my decease.

If any one of the beneficiaries of this Will cause any disturbance or raise any dispute as to its provisions I hereby direct that he or she shall forfeit any and all rights conferred above.

And I hereby appoint the Supt and Junior Minister of this Circuit as my Executors to see that these conditions are faithfully carried out. Dated this twenty sixth day of May A. D. 1917 at Carbonear. Signed MOSES his X mark PARSONS Witnesses Robert Henry Richards Ernest E. Forward

CODICIL

I give and bequeath to my son John Robert of Otterbury, all my property at that place, except the piece of land I bought from Joshua Penney and Eliol Rose, and one half the Store.

I give and bequeath to my son Mark Parsons the piece of land at Otterbury which I bought from Joshua Penney and Eliol Rose, also one half the Store, but Mark is not to interfere with John Roberts’ use of the Cellar.

I give and bequeath to Mark Parsons the house, in which he lives, on the South Side of the Main Street of Carbonear, and its contents. Dated this 25th day of October 1917. MOSES his X mark PARSONS Witnesses R. H. Richards Ernest E. Forward
