Will of Michael Joy

In re: MICHAEL JOY. DECEASED

I Michael Joy of Harbor Main do make this as my last will and Testament. I hereby revoke all wills heretofore by me made I appoint Rev John Roe. P.P. Hr. Main Executor of this my last will.

(1) I leave to my wife Maria one half of dwelling house cellar Cabbage garden and stable to have during her natural life and after death to my son John Joy

(2) My wife Maria is to sell horse and horse gear, Car and Car gear punt, and farming implements and utilize the proceeds to her use.

(3) I leave the balance of my property wheresoever situated to my son John Joy; and after my wife Maria’s death, he is to be sole owner of property consisting of inside land, water side premises with all erections thereon to have and to hold the same absolutely forever.

(4) I appoint my executor, custodian of the consideration money for land disposed of to the Roman Catholic Church Corporation, and that the said executor is to pay annually to my wife Maria forty dollars until the amount is paid and if she die before the amount is paid the balance, is to go for Masses.

In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this the fifth day of July one thousand nine hundred and nine Michael his x mark Joy his Seal Signed, Sealed and acknowledged by the said Michael Joy in our presence, who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses William Parsley Patrick Hannon
