Will of Margaret Farrell

In re: MARGARET FARRELL. DECEASED.

In the name of God Amen. I, Margaret Farrell of Harbor Grace Widow of Patrick Farrell of the same place, Licensed Victualer being of sound and disposing mind memory and disposition do make publish and declare the following paper writing as and for my last will and testament:

FIRST I revoke all former wills made at any time previous hereto by me.

SECOND I will and direct that all my property that I may die possessed of be taken by my Executor hereinafter named and sold and the proceeds of such sale be distributed as follows that is to say in the first place to pay all my lawful debts and my funeral and testamentary expenses and in the next place that the sum of one hundred dollars be paid to the Roman Catholic Bishop of Harbor Grace the Most Reverend John March for Masses for the repose of my soul and of that of my deceased husband Patrick Farrell in the next place that the sum of one hundred dollars be paid to the Reverend Patrick W. Browne son of Thomas Browne of Carbonear for a similar purpose be the bequest to Bishop March immediately preceding and in the next place that the residue (if any) of the proceeds of the sale of my property above directed be divided equally between my brother John Gorman now residing in Boston Massachusetts and my sister Kate Lahey wife of Michael Lahey of Harbor Grace

And I hereby nominate the Most Reverend John March Roman Catholic Bishop of Harbor Grace as the sole Executor of this my last will and testament. MARGARET FARRELL.

Signed, published and declared this twenty seventh day of November Anno Domini One thousand nine hundred and six by the said Margaret Farrell as and for her last will and testament in our presence present at the same time who in her presence and at her request and in the presence of each other have hereunto our hands subscribed as witnesses.
