Will of Lot Snow

In re LOT SNOW: DECEASED.

In the name of God Amen I Lot Snow of Bay Roberts in the Island of Newfoundland Fisherman being at present in sound and disposing mind do hereby make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form as follows

Firstly I will and bequeath to my two sons Lot and Joseph Snow all that piece and parcel of land with all buildings and water side known as property leased to Mr. Hackett and Mr. Elmsly bounded on the east by Widow Isaac Mercer’s lane on the west by a lane dividing my property from my brother Abner Snow’s property on the north by my own property and on the south by the Harbor of Bay Roberts to be equally divided between them share and share alike at the expiration of said lease

Secondly I will and bequeath to my two sons Lot and Joseph Snow the rent accruing from said land to be equally divided between them share and share alike provided they pay my grandson Lot Earle the sum of twenty shillings annually say ten shillings each during the term of said lease with Mr. Hackett

Thirdly I will and bequeath to my three sons John, Lt and Joseph Snow all that piece and parcel of land at Snows Cove Bay Roberts known by the name of Ferguses Room to be equally divided between them share and share alike

Fourthly I will and bequeath to my three sons John Lot and Joseph Snow all that piece and parcel of land situate at Spaniards Bay Pond to be equally divided between them share and share alike

Lastly I will and bequeath to my two sons Lot and Joseph Snow my dwelling house with land attached cleared and uncleared bounded on the east by widow Isaac Mercer’s on the west by my brother Abner Snow on the north by the Marsh and on the south by land leased to Mr. Hacket to be equally divided between them share and share alike my son Lot to have the eastern portion and my son Joseph to have the western portion of house and land And I nominate and appoint my two sons Lot and Joseph Snow of Bay Roberts my executors to this my last will and testament and I do hereby revoke all former and other wills and do declare this to be my last will and testament In witness whereof I the said Lot Snow have hereunto set my hand and seal at Bay Roberts this fifteenth day of October one thousand eight hundred and seventy 1870.
