King and John Collins
vs William Smith Complained that the Defendant who is mate of the British Queen had assaulted, beat, and with an Iron augre wounded the Plaintiff. The Defendant admitted he had struck the Plaintiff, but alleged it was to enforce the ship’s duty. Judgment that the Plaintiff do pay the Defendant for the damages sustained, the sum of Forty Shillings and the charges of cure and costs of suit and further that he be discharged from the said vessel. |
