In re JULIA GORDON deceased. This is the last will and testament of me Julia Gordon of Harbour Grace
widow of Samuel Gordon late of Harbour Grace Master Mariner deceased. I
revoke all wills heretofore by me made. I appoint my stepdaughter Theresa
Frazer my nephew Willis Davis and my friend O.V. Travers to be the executors of this my last
will I bequeath to my said executors all property of every kind and
description whatsoever whether real or personal of which I shall die possessed Upon Trust
First to deliver to my stepdaughter Theresa Frazer for her sole and absolute use all the
furniture pictures and personal chattels which came to me through my late husband Samuel
Gordon and which consist principally of two chests of drawers two sofas three tables two arm
chairs certain mohair chairs and a grandfather clock which furniture together with any other
articles not specifically mentioned can be identified by my said executors.
This is a codicil to this my last will and testament. I revoke the appointment of Willis Davis as one of my executors and I appoint Ernest Simmonds of Harbour Grace Merchant in his place and stead. Owing to changed circumstances I regretfully revoke my bequest (a) in the foregoing will to the Trustees of the Methodist Church in Harbour Grace and direct them instead to pay the said bequest of one hundred dollars to my niece Sophia Davis. Otherwise I confirm the foregoing will in all respects. Harbour Grace Apr. 23 1914. Julia Gordon. Witnesses who have signed in the presence of the said Julia Gordon and each other O.V. Travers.
