In re: JOHN TRENCHARD. DECEASED.
This is the last will and testament of me John Trenchard of Lower I Cove in the District of Bay de Verde Nfld. made this fifth day of December nineteen hundred and eleven and by this Will I annul all other wills and testaments made by me. Though failing in bodily strength I am of sound mind and judgement and desire to dispose of my worldly goods as follows
To: Hedley Morris my nephew I give and bequeath to his heirs and assigns forever, all my land situated on what is called the Hill (not including the land down in the Cove) also the pigs throw garden, together with all erections thereon viz dwelling and outhouses whatever and wheresoever, with the exception of my bed and bedding and household utensils which is to be the property of my wife should she outlive me, but after her decease all is to become the property of my nephew Hedley Morris aforesaid.
Further the said Hedley Morris is to provide for the natural wants and comforts of my wife and myself in lieu of this bequest as long as we both shall life Should he fail to do so then the expenses incurred in our support after this bequest shall be deducted out of the estate and from my effects after which Hedley Morris is to be sole possessor of the remainder
In witness of this my last will and testament I set my name and seal this fifth day of December nineteen hundred and eleven John Trenchard I appoint Hedley Morris my executor Signed in our presence who in his presence and in the presence of each other and at the same time subscribe our names as witnesses, Chesley Morris.
