Grate’s Cove.
This is my last will and Testamony of me John Snelgrove fisherman of Grates Cove District of Bay deverde I give bequeath and devise as follows
I am leaving a spot of land to Isaac Snelgrove the son of John Jacob Snelgrove bound by main line on the East and Simon Snelgrove on the West and Peter Duggan on the North
I am leaving one part out of Three or one third of Potatoes ground and Cabbage ground to my wife Jemminah and South end of the house she is to have this as long as she holds her name and after her death or decease it falls into Jacob Snelgrove my son
The property that I possess in Split Point Cove is between Jacob John, Hezekiah and Jacob my three sons
The property that I own in Scotch Hold Gulch is to be devided equal between William Snelgrove Jacob John Hezekiah and Jacob my four sons
The rent that I receive for the Telegraph Office is to be devided between my youngest daughter Nellie Beatrice and Jacob Snelgrove my son
I am leaving Fifty dollars in gold to my son William and fifty Dollars to my daughter Jane Martin and fifty Dollars to my son Jacob John and fifty Dollars to my son Hezekiah Snelgrove fifty Dollars to my daughter Rebecca Meadus and fifty Dollars to my daughter Julia Lundergan and fifty Dollars to my son Jacob Snelgrove No person cant demand this money for Debt and Three Hundred Dollars to my wife Jemminah in the Bank of Nova Scotia Five Hundred Dollars to my daughter Nellie Beatrice in the Bank of Nova Scotia
my daughter Nellie Beatrice claims forty shares in St. Georges Bay Coal Mines and two shares for my son William in the same Coal Mine my wife one share in st. George Coal Mine my daughter Jane Martin one share in the same Coal Mine my son Jacob John one share in the same Coal Mine my son Hezekiah one share in the same Coal Mine my daughter Rebecca Meadus one share in the same Coal Mine my daughter Julia Lundegan one share in the same Coal Mine and my son Jacob Snelgrove one share in the same Coal Mine
After my decease everything that I possess clear of what I got willed will be my son Jacob Snelgrove and what money I am owed is to be collected by my son Jacob Snelgrove
