In re: JOHN RABBITTS. DECEASED.
This is the last Will and Testament of John Rabbitts J. P. Of Brigus in the District of Port De Grave in the Dominion of Newfoundland I hereby revoking all former Wills by by me made and being desirous of settling my affairs in the event of my decease do hereby appoint my brother Malcolm Archibald and my son George Roylstone to be my joint Executors of this my last Will & Testament.
1st. I give and bequeath unto my wife Eliza the property now occupied by me with the Dwelling House and other erections thereon, All the furniture and other articles of every description in and about said Dwelling House and property. Also all monies in Banks in my name at time of my decease and my Life Insurance in the Orange Mutual of Canada for her own absolutely To dispose of the said property and erections thereon at any time she may think fit for the support of herself and my daughter Evelyn while the latter remains single Should my wife marry again then the before mentioned part of my estate remaining to be equally divided between my two daughters Emma Mildred and Evelyn Minerva and my grandsons John Rabbitts and Reginald Butt If she do not marry again she can at her decease give what she may have to our children and grandchildren as she may think fit
2nd. I give and bequeath unto my two daughters Emma Mildred (Mrs. Arthur Butt) and Evelyn Minerva the Store now occupied by Mrs. Washer and Roberts as a workshop situate on the North Side. The rent to be equally divided between them and the building and property sold when they think fit
3rd. I also give and bequeath unto my wife Eliza my shares in the Bay de Grave mining Company Limited consisting of 246 after deducting Seventeen shares for Malcolm A. Rabbitts. Five shares for Nicholas Smith, Three shares for Thomas Chalker and Two shares for Mrs. Ezra Lodge now held in my name in trust for them
4th I direct my Executors to pay my just debts personal and testamentary expenses and have a Tombstone simular in shape as that to my brother Nathaniel erected to my memory
Written by me at Brigus Newfoundland this Nineteenth day of July Nineteen hundred and twenty one JOHN RABBITTS J. P.
