Will of John Nichols

IN RE:   JOHN NICHOLS.    DECEASED

In the name of God Amen. I John Nichols formerly of Harbor Grace but at present of Bell Island do make publish and declare this as and for my last will and testament.

    First I give devise and bequeath to my wife Mary jane and my son walter all that piece or parcel of land with dwelling house and other buildings and erections thereon situate on Downey Street in Harbor Grace and bought by me last year from the School Board Jordan Shepherd.

    Secondly I give devise and bequeath to my wife Mary jane and my son Walter all my undivided share in the Estate and property of my deceased father Tobias Nichols.

    Thirdly I give all the rest and remainder of my property and effects to my wife Mary jane and my son Walter.

    Fourthly I hereby appoint my wife Mary Jane and my son Walter to be Executors of this my will.

    Signed published and declared by the said Testator as and for his last will and testament in our presence who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have hereto subscribed our hands as witnesses at Bell Island this 22nd day of October 1913 having been first read over and explained to the said Testator.
