In re: JOHN MUGFORD. DECEASED
In the name of God Amen I John Mugford of Port de Grave Newfoundland fisherman being in my sound mind thus publish and declare my last will and testament Revoking and annulling all former Dispositions of my property I give and bequeath as follow to Elizabeth Norman and her daughter Annabella Norman my house and property and also my pew in Ship Cove Church and in case they should disagree after my death they will have to divide it between themselves whatever will suit them best and they are also to have my two small boats also a herring net to be divided as aforesaid between themselves after my death and also after my funeral expences are paid what money is left is to be equally divided between them as aforesaid including my benefit money from the fisherman Lodge they are also to understand between each other that the one dieing first it all becomes the others I hereby appoint the aforesaid Elizabeth Norman and her daughter Annabella Norman my benefactors for the faithful carrying out of the provisions of this my last will and Testament his X John Mugford Signed acknowledged and delivered by the said John Mugford as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who being present at the same time in His presence at his request and in the presence of each thus have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses Dated this 8th day of January 1903.
