Will of John Howard
In re John Howard deceased

Daniel’s Cove November 13th 1916 This is the last will and testament of me John Howard of Daniel’s Cove in the Island of Newfoundland Fisherman. 1. I revoke all and any former will or wills by me at any time made. 2. I give devise and bequeath to my son Joseph A. Howard half of the wood land on the south side of the River and dwelling house and strip of land in front of house after his mother’s death. And my part of (?iner) house and half of my fish shore and my two flakes, and my fish (? bawn) 3. I give devise and bequeath to my son Lawrence P. Howard, the other half of the wood land on the south side of the River and he is to own what land he is occupying now. After his mother’s death he is to own the land where his cabbage garden is at now, the piece of land where his grandfather’s house was at, and the strip of land where my fish shore is at, and my part of water stage thats used now by Robert and William. 4. I give devise and bequeath to my wife Margaret Howard my dwelling house stable and cattle and half my fish shore and flakes and all the land I am using now, after her death all the above mentioned are to go to Joseph H. A. Howard except the stable and it is to go to Lawrence P. Howard. The wood land on the north side of the river are to be my wife’s land Mrs. Margaret Howard. 5. I appoint William Kelly of Daniel’s Cove the executor of this my will witness my hand at Daniel’s Cove this 13th day of November A.D. 1916 Signed Published and Declared by the said testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses signed here William Kelly X William J.
