| In re John Hedges deceased. In the name of God Amen. This the last will and testament of me John Hedges of Carbonear Agent being of sound mind and good understanding do give and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth Hedges the dwelling house effects and land I now occupy. I farther bequeath to my wife Elizabeth Hedges all money due me in the hands of the Hon John Rorke Merchant Carbonear and do hereby testify this my last will and testament this the seventh day of January one thousand eight hundred and eighty six I appoint Mr. Edward S. Pike and Robt Penney as execator to this my last will and testament. John his X mark Hedges. Signed in the presence of Edward S. Pike, William his X mark Pike, date as above.
