Will of John Garland

In re JOHN D. GARLAND: DECEASED.

Harbor Grace August 17 1868. In the name of God Amen I John Davis Garland Master Cooper being sound in mind but weak in body do make and constitute this my last will and testament in manner following I give and bequeath to my dearly beloved wife Harriet Garland all my right title and interest in and to all my land and property in Harbor Grace situated to the north of Harvey Street bounded on the west by the premises of the late Dr. Dowe the said land being now in my possession also all my personal property money and effects of any and every kind whatever subject to this condition that is to say that if my wife marry again (or after her death) the land and all other property given her by this will shall be become the property of my son George Garland his heirs and executors forever and I hereby appoint my two friends Moses Goss of Spaniards Bay and Thos. Higgins of Harbor Grace executors to this my last will and testament.
