In re JAMES SMITH. DECEASED. The last will and testament of James Smith of Brigus Conception Bay in the Island of Newfoundland Master Mariner. I give and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth all my right title and interest in and to my dwelling house shop stores and other buildings also all the stock in trade together with all my household furniture cash and every other description of property I may be possessed of to have and to hold for her own proper use and behoof during the term of her natural life at her decease I desire that the above mentioned property be divided among my surviving children or their issue in such proportions as my wife Elizabeth may deem fit And I hereby nominate my wife Elizabeth to be executrix of this my last will and testament.James Smith (LS) Signed sealed published and declared as and for the last will and testament of the said James Smith in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto set our hands as witnesses thereto the said will being first read over to the testator before he signed it on this 31st day of May A.D. 1859, W.S.
