Will of James Lowry Senior

In re     JAMES LOWRY.     DECEASED. This is the last Will and Testament of me, James Lowry Senior of Horse Cove in the Electoral District of Harbor Main, Farmer.

After the payment of all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses, I give, devise and bequeath as follows:
    1. To my son James the homestead consisting of farmland house and all other buildings and erections thereon situate at Horse Cove and at present occupied by me. Also, the waterside property situate at Horse Cove together with boats, nets, grapnels and all other fishing outfit and gear. Also twenty acres of woodland situate on the Horse Cove Line. Also about seven acres of land situate at a place called Miller’s Hill, Horse Cove Line. Also two head of horned cattle, horse, waggon, cars, catamerans, and farming implements, upon condition that he support and maintain in a proper manner during the period of her natural life my wife Ellen.

    2. To my said wife Ellen any moneys that I may die possessed of. Also one cow.

    3. It is my will and desire that while my daughter Rita remains unmarried and should she require a home that she will have the right to live in my home at Horse Cove aforesaid.

    4. To my said son James the residue of my estate and effects.

I appoint my said son James Executor of this my will.

Dated at St. John’s this 21st day of November A.D. 1919.
