James Homer to Henry Homer – Freshwater – 1835

Memorial of a Deed Poll bearing date the eighth day of September in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty five whereby James Homer of Freshwater Conception Bay Planter for and in consideration for and in consideration of natural love and affection which he hath and beareth towards his son Henry Homer as also for better maintenance and preferment of the said Henry Homer he the said James Homer did grant a lien en?off and confirm unto Henry Homer aforesaid “all that piece or parcel of land situate in Freshwater aforesaid and bounded and measuring as follows that is to say bounded on the north by a path or roadway leading to the woods. On the south by a Hill. On the East by land belonging to Francis Jeffers and on the West by a continuation of the land belonging to the said James Homer measuring from East to West thirty five yards and running north and south to the whole extent of the land in the occupation of the said James Homer with all and singular its appurtenances” To have and to Hold unto the said Henry Homer his heirs and assigns Forever: which Instrument under the hand and seal of the said “James Homer” is witnessed by “Wm. Chas St. John” and…..
