This is the last will and testament of Henry Stephens, planter, of Bay de Verds, Newfoundland.     I hereby give, devise and bequeath to my wife Susan during her lifetime or widowhood, my dwelling house & all the furniture thereof, and the complete possession of all my other property of whatsoever quality including land, stages, nets, punts & fishing gear & wheresoever situated until my son William Henry attains the age of twenty one years complete when the latter with the exception of the small stage, flake & part of Northern Mead is to revert to my aforesaid son William Henry, his heirs, executors and administrators for his and their own use and benefit, absolutely and forever.     I hereby devise and bequeath to my daughter Ann, her heirs, executors and administrators for her and their own use and benefit, so long as she & they remain members of the Church of England The small stage and flake now in the occupation of William Froude and half of my land in Northern Mead-     In the event of my aforesaid daughter Anne or heirs changing their religion the above mentioned property is to revert to my son William Henry his heirs & administrators for his and their own use absolutely and for ever.     I hereby devise and bequeath my feather bed to my wife Susan for her sole use & benefit.     I hereby appoint my friends the Revd. G.S.
