Will of Henry Bishop

IN RE:   HENRY BISHOP.    DECEASED

This is the last will and Testament of me Henry Bishop of Burnt Head in the Electoral District of Port-de-Grave Planter.

First I give devise and bequeath unto my wife, Jane Bishop, all and singular my lands property monies chattels and effects of every description to hold the same for her sole use and benefit during the term of her natural life.

Second after the death of my said wife I give devise and bequeath unto my son Henry John all and singular the land upon which my Dwelling House, outhouse and stable are built including the land used in connection therewith to hold the same absolutely and for ever - Subject however to the condition that he will make due provision for the maintenance and support of my daughter Fanny Jane during the time she shall remain, unmarried and desire to remain in the said House

Third I give and bequeath unto my son Elijah all and singular the land known as the small meadow situate in the rear of the stable after the death of my said wife.

Fourth. I give and bequeath unto my three sons, Solomon Elijah and Henry John and to my daughter Fanny Jane after the death of my said wife all and singular my land on the back or to the south ward of my House, to hold the same equally between them.

Any monies that I may die possessed of are to be used by my wife as she may require the same for her maintenance and support and the balance if any, is to be equally divided between my said four children.
I nominate and appoint my son Henry John as the sole Executor of this my said will. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand at St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland this fourth day of January Anno Domini one thousand nine hundred and ten - Henry Bishop - Signed published and declared by the said Testator as and for his last will and Testament in the presence of us who present at the same time, in his presence and in the presence of each and at his request have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses Isabel Gamber J. A. Clift Solr.
