Harbour Grace

Thursday, 6th Oct 1825

Surrogate Court

 

Jordan Henderson

versus

John Warford

Obstructing him in the Possession of a piece of ground situate at Bears Cove in this Harbor--

Defendant brought to court by summons.

It appeared that Jane Collins on the 20th day of August 1822 sold Plaintiff her part of a Plantation situate at Bears Cove Harbour Grace for the valuation of Ten Pounds –that the said Jordan Henderson was hindered in possession of said premises by Defendant.

The Court herein referred to the Judgment of J. Toup Nicolas, Esquire, Surrogate, dated 12 Oct 1821—confirmed the Judgment, and that no obstruction be made on the part by Defendant in the possession of Plaintiff according to the tenor of the Bill of Sale.
