Vol. 14, p. 297
Carbonear 10th July 1848. In the name of God, Amen. I, George Forward, being about to leave this Country for England and knowing the uncertainly of life do hereby make and ordain my last Will and Testament bequesting to my three Sons, Henry, Mark and Ambrose all my [Vessels?] together with all my landed property, Houses, Stores, Shop and Store Goods, Horses, Household Furniture and every moveable property after my lawful debts are paid, share and share alike. And should my Wife Susannah survive me, she is to be comfortably provided during her natural life providing she remains a Widow. I should also wish that my Sons do not forget their aged Aunt in England and that they send them a few Pounds whenever they can afford to do so. I wish also my Wife do live in the House with Ambrose as she now enjoys to be sole Mistress during her life. George Forward. Witness, Wm Horwood, C. Forward.

I hereby Certify that the execution of the Will of George Forward by the Testator was proved before myself on the Twelfth day of May in the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven by the Affidavit endorsed thereon of William Horwood one of the subscribing Witnesses thereto and the same is in due course hereby actually Registered by me this day. Given under my hand this Twelfth day of May one thousand eight hundred and fifty Seven A.D. 1857.
