Will of George Parsons

In re: GEORGE PARSONS (of William). DECEASED.

In the name of God Amen. I George Parsons of William of Salmon Cove, Bay de Verde, in the Island of Newfoundland being of sound mind and memory do hereby in this my last will and testament leave all my property as follows:

First I will and devise that my beloved wife shall be maintained in comfort by my sons Eli and John. To Eli I leave and bequeath my dwelling house, stable and cellar and all my potato and meadow land. To the said John and Eli I leave and bequeath my uncultivated land to be divided between them as it is at present.

I hereby constitute and appoint my cousin Joshuah Penney of Salmon Cove as Executor to this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto affixed my seal and subscribed my signature on this first day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nine. George his X mark Parsons (LS) Witness of signature Charles Lench. Signed sealed pronounced and declared by the said George Parsons as his last will and testament in the presence of us, who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses, Charles Lench. Lillie M. Parsons.
