Will of George Neal Dean
IN RE: GEORGE NEAL DEAN. DECEASED This is the last Will and Testament of me George Neal Dean of Carbonear Newfoundland. I will devise and bequeath that piece of land situate to the West of my dwelling house and bounded by Stoke's land on the West, by a public road on the North, by John and William Moore's estate on the South and by George Dean on the East, to my son George Dean. I will devise and bequeath that piece or parcel of land situate in the vicinity of my dwelling house and bounded on the West by George Dean, on the North by a public road on the South by right of way and on the East by John Moore's land, together with the dwelling house and outhouses thereon to my son, Matthew Dean. I will devise and bequeath that piece or parcel of land situate as follows:- Bounded on the West by John Moore's land on the North by the public road, on the South by the right of way and on the East by a Stable the said piece or parcel of land measuring fifty feet East and West, to my son Arthur Dean. I will devise and bequeath that piece or parcel of land bounded on the West by Arthur Dean's land, on the North by the public road on the South by a right of way and extending East to a distance of Forty-one feet, the line running parallel North and South with that of the boundary fence running along Bennett's Hill, to my son William Thomas Dean. I will devise and bequeath the Stable built upon the said piece or parcel of land herein willed to William Thomas Dean to the said William Thomas Dean. I will devise and bequeath that piece or parcel of land lying or situated East of the aforesaid piece of land bequeathed to Wm Thomas Dean, and measuring about Forty one feet east and west, and bounded on the West by William Thomas Dean's land, on the North by the public road on the South by a right of way, and on the East by Bennett's Hill to my son Matthew Dean. I will devise and bequeath all the furniture and household utensils in the dwelling to my son Matthew Dean. I will devise and bequeath to my grand children, in equal proportions, after a sufficient sum is taken for my decent burial and a tomb stone, all monies of which I shall die possessed And I hereby appoint George Dean and Arthur Dean, my two sons, as Executors to this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this twenty-ninth day of November Nineteen Hundred and Twenty. GEORGE NEAL DEAN. Mills I, George Neal Dean of Carbonear do make and declare this to be a Codicil to my last will, which will bears date the Twenty-ninth day of November, Nineteen Hundred and Twenty. I will devise and bequeath that piece or parcel of land situate North of the Virgin Spring, and bounded on the West by Hounsell's land, on the East by the Main Road, on the North by a cliff and on the south by the main road to my four sons in equal proportions. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this Twenty-ninth day of November, Nineteen Hundred and Twenty. GEORGE NEAL DEAN. Mills. I, George Neal Dean of Carbonear, Newfoundland do make and declare this to be a Codicil to my last will, which will bears date the Twenty-ninth of November, Nineteen Hundred and Twenty. I will devise and bequeath the sum of One Hundred and Fifty Dollars and also the fifty dollars which I have invested in the Masonic Hall to my son Matthew Dean, the said One Hundred & Fifty Dollars to be deducted from the monies herein mentioned as being bequeathed in equal proportions to the grandchildren. I will devise and bequeath to my niece, Ida May Evely a share in the aforesaid monies herein mentioned is being bequeathed to the grandchildren an equal proportion as that which shall be received by each of the grandchildren.
