In re ELIZABETH NORMAN: DECEASED. This Is the last will and testament of me Elizabeth Norman formerly Munden, wife of Nathan Norman of Brigus, Conception Bay in the Island of Newfoundland, by and with the consent of the said Nathan Norman by his endorsation of such consent on this instrument-First- I bequeath to my daughter Bertha Alice Norman, until she marries, the rent of all my landed property, which I at present inherit from my late father Nathaniel Munden of Brigus aforesaid, as well as the interest of five hundred pounds legacy bequeathed to me in my late father’s will, and also the interest of any monies which may accrue to me as my proportion of the estate of my late father, after the legacies in said will are paid. Second- I bequeath to my daughter Bertha Alice Norman until she marries the interest of my proportion of my late brother Henry Munden’s estate, as well as the interest of any amount which may be bequeathed to me by my mother Susanna Munden. Third. In the event of my daughter the said Bertha Alice Norman marrying, I hereby will and devise that the annual rent of property aforesaid, and interest of monies hereinbefore mentioned, be divided between the said Bertha Alice Norman, and my daughter Elizabeth Makinson, wife of George Makinson of Harbour Grace in the Island of Newfoundland- with the understanding that my daughter Bertha Alice Norman receive the interest of Two hundred pounds more than her sister. Fourth- I furthermore will and devise, that the principal as before mentioned shall remain untouched, and that the said rent and interest be paid to my said daughters during their natural life and to their female issue forever. Fifth. I hereby nominate and appoint the Reverend Thomas Harris, Wesleyan Minister, at present Superintendent of the Brigus Circuit, executor of this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the fifteenth day of February in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and seventy four.
