Will of Eli Butler

In re     ELI BUTLER.     DECEASED.

Cupids    
July 25th 1924.

I Eli Butler of Cupids in the District of Port De Grave and the Dominion of Newfoundland of the age of Sixty-five years of sound mind and memory do make and declare this my last Will & Testament in the manner following: That is to say.

    First I give & bequeath all Labrador Property - consisting of Labrador Room, Traps & Boats to my two sons Frederick Butler and Harold Butler to be divided equally between them.

    Second I give and bequeath all money deposited in the Government Saving bank to my wife Elizabeth Butler to have and to hold while she is in my name in case of marriage or death of the said Elizabeth Butler all money so deposited shall be divided equally between Frederick Butler & Harold Butler.

    Third I give and bequeath all my money deposited in the Branch Bank of Nova Scotia at Bay Roberts to my son Harold Butler.

    Fourth I give and bequeath all my land and dwelling house, barn, store & Cattle to my wife Elizabeth Butler to retain and hold for her support as long as she is in my name or until her death, after which all such property consisting of land is to be divided between my two sons Frederick Butler and Harold Butler but all buildings on such land shall be given to Harold Butler. And Lastly, I do hereby nominate & appoint Harold Butler to be Executor of this my last will & testament, hereby revoking all former will by me made.

    In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand this Twenty fifth day of July A.D. 1924.

The above instrument was at the date thereof signed, sealed and declared by the said Eli Butler as and for his last Will and Testament in presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.
