Will of Edward Besso from Newfoundland will books volume 10 page 513 probate year 1917

 In re
    Edward Besso     deceased.

    In the name of God Amen I Edward Besso of Holyrood Conception Bay, Newfoundland, being of perfect mind and memory and knowing it is appointed for all men once to die do make this my last will and testament.     And as touching such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to grant me with I do give devise and bequeath of the same in the following manner and form I give and bequeath to my son James Besso half the house and half the land and horse & carts. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Johanna Besso half the house and half the same land that I bequeathed to my son James Besso, after our death he James Besso is to possess all, he James Besso is to provide for myself & wife while we live.
I give and bequeath four (4) equal shares of my Land on Salmonier Road to my Three (3) Sons Edward, Michael William and to my daughter Lena, she to have the outside part, I do hereby appoint John B. Veitch to be my Executor and this will to be read on the day of my burial. I do declare this my last will and testament and here unto set my hand and seal.     Edward his X mark Besso.
