Will of Catherine Parsons

In re

Catherine Parsons deceased.

I Catherine Parsons alias Scanlan of Carbonear Newfoundland being weak of bodily health but of sound strong and perfect of memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament, viz. I commit my soul to God and my body to the earth to be decently buried according to my desire and wish of my friends All my property which I possess of houses lands chattels or furniture or anyway otherwise I will bequeath consign and make over to Patrick Scanlon until my son Michael Furlong is to the age of twenty one years and he is to send him five winters to school and by so doing he is to have the place he possess himself forever without any demands and when my son Michael Furlong is of age the property belongs to him or his heirs and if in case he dies without an heir the property to be divided between my three brothers Daniel, Jeremiah and Patrick Scanlan or their heirs.

Given under my hand this 19th day of January 1831.
