Present: Charles Garland, Wm. Lilly, and L.A. Anspach, Esq. Susanna Bradberry versus Mary Fitzgerald This case brought on from the 11th Inst and now to issue. Many witnesses appeared whose evidences substantiated the charge of the Plaintiff against the Defendant and fully proved the assault and battery to be committed by the Defendant upon the Plaintiff on the 8th instant. Upon investigation and cross examination of the witnesses, the Defendant was found guilty of the offence. The Judgment of the Court was that the Defendant do pay a fine of ₤3 – to the King and costs – also to give security to keep the peace. The Sheriff was ordered to retain ten pounds of her husband’s wages in his hands for that purpose.
