Will of Ann Elizabeth Parsons

In re: ANN ELIZABETH PARSONS DECEASED.

This is the last will and testament of me Ann Elizabeth Parsons of the town of Harbor Grace in the Island of Newfoundland. I being possessed of certain money and property, placed and situated as follows. Viz.

Government debentures numbers twenty one, twenty two, twenty three and twenty four respectively to the amount of sixteen hundred dollars. Ten shares of twenty dollars each share in the Harbor Grace Water Company, making two hundred dollars. Also deposits in the Bank of Nova Scotia; the Harbor Grace Branch, of one thousand one hundred dollars. In all making, two thousand and nine hundred dollars (2900.00)

Besides my claim and interest in the dwelling house and land with furniture where I now live, situate on the south side of Harvey Street, in Harbor Grace aforesaid.

Of the above I give devise and bequeath to my beloved daughter Louisa, Four hundred dollars, Also to my beloved daughter Minnie Four hundred dollars. Also to my beloved son James Brown Parsons, now living in the United States. One hundred dollars besides three hundred dollars already given and mailed to him in February of 1910, making Four hundred dollars.

I also give devise and bequeath to my beloved husband Benjamin Parsons the balance or residue of my said money after defraying the necessary probation of this my last will and testament. I also give unto my beloved husband all the interest and claim I hold in the dwelling house and furniture, where I now live and situated as aforesaid viz on Harvey Street. And I do by these presence nominate and appoint my husband and Mr. John Trapnell of this town to be my executors to this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I the testator, have hereunto set my hand and seal this 8th day of March in the year of our Lord, one thousand nine hundred and eleven (1911) Ann Elizabeth Parsons (LS) Signed published and declared by the said testator in presence of us John Trapnell Benjamin Parsons.
