TO THE HONOURABLE THE SUPREME COURT,OR ONE OF THE HONOURABLE THE JUDGES THEREOF. The Petition of Fredrick H. Martin of Harbor Grace,in the Electoral District of Harbor Grace,

HUMBLY SHEWETH:-

1--- That Annabella Pike Martin late of Harbor Grace aforesaid, housewife, died at that place on the 30th.day of July A.D.I923.

2--- That the said deceased died intestate.

3--- That said deceased left her surviving, as sole next-of-kin, her husband,Your Petitioner.

4--- That the said deceased at the time of her death was possessed of property within the jurisdiction of Your Honourable Court of the value of not more than THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY/NINE 09/100 DOLLARS, as more particularly set forth by the Inventory and Valuation hereto annexed and marked "A", which Inventory and Valuation are correct and true,to the best of Your Petitioner's knowledge and belief.

5--- Neither Probate to any Will,nor Letters of Administration to the estate and effects of the said deceased has been granted out of Your Honourable Court to any person.

Your Petitioner therefore humbly prays that Your Honourable Court, or one of Your Lord ships, would be pleased to grant him Letters of Administration of the estate of the aforesaid deceased

And Your Petitioner,as in Duty Bound, will ever pray.

Transcriber's Notes:

Annabella Pike Martin was the daughter of Ambrose Pike and Mary Elizabeth Gordon.
She was born in Harbour Grace 13 August 1862 and died there 30 July 1923.
Her husband was Frederick H Martin, a son of James Martin and Patience UNKNOWN.
Frederick was born about 1868 in Harbour Grace and died there 10 years after Annabella on 14 July 1933.
Fred married Sibella Hawkins after the death of Annabella. Date at this stage is unknown. Sibella died in 1945.

Frederick and Annabella had ten children
Herbert 1890-1949 married Ada B Pritchett from Gambo. Herb died in St. John's December 1949 and Ada in Nov 1963. They are buried together at Forest Road Anglican with their son Milton who drowned in St. John's harbour in August 1928.

William Pike 1894-?
May 1895-1976 married Percy James from Sydney Australia. She died Covington, Ohio in February 1976.
Henry 1896-1896
Mary Elizabeth 1899-1988 married a Mr. James who died in 1926. In 1942 she married Thomas W Cook in Indiana and she died in Evanston, Indiana 30 Nov 1988.
Walter H. 1901-1903
Lucinda 1903-1998 married Luke Fallon in Harbour Grace in 1922. She died in 1998 and is buried in Harbour Grace in the RC cemetery with her husband.
