MEMORIAL of a Deed bearing date the twenty-seventh day of May, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-three whereby Patrick Hide of Carbonear, Fisherman for and in consideration of the sum of forty seven pounds assigning to him in hand the receipt where of is acknowledged did bargain, sell and transfer unto John Keefe of Carbonear aforesaid Fisherman “All those lands and premises situate lying and hinges Carbonear aforesaid called and known as Ansell’s Farm as herein more particularly described in a Deed thereof bearing date the thirty-first day of May one thousand eight hundred and forty-seven from John Munn and John Rorke, executors of Edward ????? to the aforesaid Patrick Hyde comprising about seventeen acres and held under a grant for the Crown SE21 dated 15th November one thousand eight hundred and thirty “To have and to hold with the same John Keefe with all fences and improvements, his heirs, executors and administrators and assigns forever covenant and defend the possessions.
