Bernard Parsons deceased
This is the last will and testament of me Bernard Parsons of Harbour Grace Newfoundland. My will is first that my just debts and funeral expenses be paid by my executors hereinafter named. And the residue and remainder of my real and personal property which shall not be required for such purposes, I give devise and dispose thereof as follows. To wit, I give and devise to my beloved wife Eliza Green Parsons my dwelling house situated on Harvey Street Harbor Grace with all my household furniture, and the sum of three thousand
dollars cash at present variously invested to be paid her in six months after my decease by my executors hereinafter named to have and to hold the same for and during her natural or widowed life. I give and bequeath to my only daughter Sarah Belle Parsons one thousand dollars cash to be paid her by my executors hereinafter named within one year after my decease I also give to my only daughter Sarah Belle Parsons my Piano to have and hold the
same to her and her heirs executors administrators and assigns to her and their use and behoof forever. I give and bequeath to my four sons Victor, Ephraim Edward, George Bloomfield, and Arthur Parsons the sum of five hundred dollars each. To be paid them each one year after my decease by my executors hereinafter named. To have and to hold the same to their heirs executors administrators and assigns to their and their use and behoof forever. I give and bequeath to the Trust fund of the Methodist Church, Harbour Grace the sum
of one hundred dollars to be paid to the Chapel Steward one year after my decease. I give and bequeath to the Methodist Sunday School the sum of fifty dollars for the purpose of making an addition to the library to be paid the managing committee of the Sunday School one year after my decease. I give devise and bequeath all the rest and residue of my estate real personal and mixed of which I shall be seized and possessed or to which I shall
be entitled at the time of my decease to my five children, Viz:- Victor Parsons, Ephraim Parsons, George Bloomfield Parsons, Arthur Parsons and Sarah Belle Parsons to have and to hold the same to theirs and to their executors administrators and assigns to theirs and their use and behoof forever. And I do nominate and appoint my four sons to be the sole executors of this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I the testator have hereunto set my hand this eight day of April 1915 In the year of our Lord one thousand nine
